Energy Efficiency

LPG /  Induction cooker
Which one is better………………????????????

I kg of LPG = 11,900 kcal ( thermal energy )
In a cylinder Net Wt of LPG = 14.2 kg
This is equivalent to 14.2 x 11,900 = 1,68,980 kcal ( thermal energy)
1 kwh of Electrical Energy = 860 kcal (thermal energy)
If we compare this value with a LPG cylinder , we get One LPG cylinder = 196 kwh ( electrical energy)
Domestic LPG cylinder cost = Rs. 473.50 /-
For 196 kwh ( we say 196 unit consumption) ,.what will be amount in the current bill……?????????
For a single phase domestic consumer = Rs. 383 /-
For a three phase domestic consumer = Rs. 523 /-
(Even though the heat transfer ratio of LPG when compare with electricity is high, we are unable to use the LPG gas in its full effective way. Severe loss of LPG gas as in the form of unused flame.
But the thing is so different when we dealt with an induction cooker,…
Because this device work only if we place a pot/vessel over it,..so only minimum waste of energy.)
